The bottom of the work when viewed closely shows over 1,000 Israelites crossing between the parted waters. Each Israelite stands at about 1.5m (5ft) tall in the work scaling, but is only the size of the tip of a pen when viewed at the print size of this work at 30″x40″.
At the top of the work, blended into the clouds, is a faint illustration of an arm coming out of the sky wielding a sword and cutting a serpent into two pieces. This Second Temple imagery is referenced in Isaiah 51:9-10 describing the exodus crossing the Red Sea.
